Job summary

PurposeCare is a growing home health and home care provider seeking compassionate caregivers to support patients in their homes and communities. You will deliver one-on-one care, assist with daily living activities, and help clients stay safe and comfortable, across flexible shifts.

Ideal candidates are dependable, patient, and service-driven, with 6+ months of caregiving experience and a willingness to obtain certification. Training and onboarding are provided.

Qualifications

• Age 18 or older.
• 6+ months of caregiving or direct patient care experience.
• Willingness to complete competency and skills assessments.
• Ability to follow written care instructions and document services.
• Compassion, patience, and professionalism with vulnerable populations.
• Ability to work independently in home settings.
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel to client homes.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
• Willingness to complete TB testing, background screening, and onboarding requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care support including bathing, grooming, dressing, oral hygiene, and toileting.
• Assist with mobility, transfers, ambulation, and range-of-motion exercises per care plan.
• Prepare meals and assist with feeding as needed.
• Support medication self-administration through reminders (no independent med administration).
• Monitor and report patient condition and changes to the supervising nurse.
• Take and record basic vital signs when trained and assigned.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly client environment.
• Assist with linens and light client laundry as appropriate.
• Travel reliably to patient homes and assigned visits across your service area.
• Complete required in-service training, including annual dementia education.
