Job summary

A Place at Home in Springfield, OH is seeking a dedicated Home Health Aide to join our care team. You will provide ADL support, companionship, and adherence to each client's care plan in the home setting under RN supervision.

Responsibilities include assisting with bathing, dressing, meal planning, mobility, medication reminders, light housekeeping, and reporting changes to nurses. A compassionate, patient, reliable caregiver with HHA certification is ideal.

Qualifications

• Completion of state-approved Home Health Aide certification course.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Compassionate and empathetic with a strong desire to improve the lives of others.
• Ability to work independently and maintain high levels of patience and understanding.
• Physically able to perform the duties of the position, including lifting and physical movement as necessary.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Providing assistance with ADLs, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Assisting with meal planning and preparation, observing dietary restrictions when necessary.
• Assisting with medication reminders in compliance with established care plans.
• Light housekeeping: dusting, vacuuming, laundry for a clean home.
• Assisting with mobility and transfers, ensuring client safety.
• Providing companionship and fostering a nurturing relationship.
• Documenting and reporting changes to supervising nurse.
• Following HIPAA and maintaining client PHI privacy.
• Participating in ongoing training and professional development.
