Job summary

CareRing Health is seeking a qualified Home Health Aide to deliver compassionate in-home care under the direction of a Registered Nurse or Therapist, in accordance with physician orders and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities include assisting with daily living activities, preparing meals, documenting care and reporting changes promptly to a licensed nurse; required CNA license, Virginia HHA license, CPR, and a high school diploma or equivalent; prior elderly-care experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Current CNA license in good standing.
• Virginia Home Health Aide license.
• CPR certification.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous elderly-care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, eating, transferring, mobility).
• Engages residents in conversation and activities while providing personal care.
• Responds promptly to resident needs and assists with care as necessary.
• Observes changes in physical, emotional, mental or behavioral condition and reports to a licensed nurse.
• Completes incident and condition change forms and documentation in a timely manner.
• Prepares and serves meals; assists with eating (not tube feeding).
• Maintains clean rooms and tidies beds and waste areas daily.
