Responsibilities

• Assists residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, eating, transferring and mobility.
• Engages residents in conversation, socialization and activity while providing personal care assistance.
• Responds promptly to all resident needs and requests for care and provides or obtains assistance as necessary.
• Observes residents for changes in physical, emotional, mental or behavioral condition and reports to a licensed nurse.
• Completes incident reports, change of condition reports and behavior tracking in a timely manner.
• Prepares and serves meals and assists with eating (not tube feeding).
• Makes beds, empties garbage, and tidies rooms daily or as needed.

Education

CNA license in good standing

Virginia Home Health Aide license

CPR Certificate

High school diploma or equivalent
