Job summary

Nurse Next Door in California is seeking compassionate Home Care Aides to provide nonmedical support to seniors in their homes. You must be 18+, have CA Home Care Aide Registry registration, pass background checks, and complete training.

Qualifications

At least 18 years of age.
Current registration with the CA Home Care Aide Registry.
Criminal background check completed and disclosed.
Evidence of entry-level training or plan to complete paid training.
Evidence of tuberculosis testing.
Ability to read and follow written instructions and document care given.
Valid driver’s license and auto insurance and/or reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

Execute the client’s care plan as outlined by the Care Designer.
Help clients with their ADLs within the scope of practice for a Registered Health Care Aide.
Assist with personal hygiene (skin, mouth, hair care, bathing and dressing).
Assist in and out of bed, transfers, positioning and ambulation.
Provide prescribed exercises as taught by health personnel.
Meal planning and preparation including therapeutic diets.
