Job summary

Nurse Next Door is seeking compassionate caregivers to provide nonmedical in-home support for seniors in California. No experience required; 10 to 40 hours per week with flexible morning, afternoon, evening, and overnight shifts.

Caregivers deliver essential assistance, follow care plans, assist with ADLs, transportation, light housework, and companionship, while maintaining state registration and training requirements.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Current registration with the California Home Care Aide Registry or plan to complete training.
• Background check and disclosure of any criminal history.
• Ability to read and follow written instructions and document care.
• Tuberculosis testing and verification of no active TB.

Responsibilities

• Execute the client's care plan as outlined by the Care Designer.
• Assist with ADLs and personal hygiene.
• Help with transfers, ambulation, and positioning.
• Provide meal planning and light meal preparation.
• Assist with medications reminders and schedule transportation.
• Maintain accurate records of hours worked and services performed.
