Job summary

Addus Homecare is seeking Direct Support Professionals to help seniors and people with disabilities live independently. Earn up to $15.68/hr with flexible, dependable hours and a chance to grow in a compassionate, value-driven organization.

You will follow care plans, assist with personal care and light housekeeping, transport members to appointments, and support medication self-administration while reporting changes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• One year of in-home care experience is preferred.
• Able to pass a criminal background check.
• Reliable transportation with a valid driver’s license and insurance.

Responsibilities

• Follow a care plan for the member and report on completed tasks.
• Assist people with personal care (bathing, dressing, etc.).
• Support routine house cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation.
• Transport members to appointments, daily errands, and other locations as necessary.
• Assist member with the self-administration of medications (no administering or measuring).
• Observe and report any changes in member's condition.
