Addus HomeCare is hiring a Direct Support Professional to help seniors and individuals with disabilities live independently. The role offers early learning in quality home care with flexible hours and a supportive team in a growing industry leader.

You will follow care plans, assist with personal care, transport clients, and help with medications under supervision. Excellent communication and reliable, organized work habits are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One year of in-home care experience.
• Able to pass a criminal background check.
• Reliable transportation with a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Good communication skills; reliable, energetic and well-organized.

Responsibilities

• Follow a care plan for the member and report on completed tasks.
• Assist people with personal care (bathing, dressing, etc.)
• Support routine house cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation.
• Transport members to appointments, daily errands, and other locations as necessary.
• Assist member with self-administration of medications (no administering or measuring).
• Observe and report any changes in member's condition.
