Job summary

Addus HomeCare is seeking a Direct Support Professional to support seniors and individuals with disabilities at home. This entry-level role offers flexible hours and meaningful, life-changing service in a growing home care company.

You will follow care plans, assist with personal care, transportation, and daily tasks, while building reliable, compassionate support for clients living independently.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED plus 1 year of in-home care experience.
• Able to pass a criminal background check.
• Reliable transportation with valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.

Responsibilities

• Follow a care plan for the member and report completed tasks.
• Assist people with personal care (bathing, dressing, etc.).
• Support routine house cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation.
• Transport members to appointments, daily errands, and other locations as necessary.
• Assist member with self-administration of medications (no administering or measuring).
• Observe and report any changes in member's condition.
