Job summary

Nurse Next Door San Mateo is seeking compassionate Home Care Aides to provide nonmedical in‑home support to seniors. The role is flexible with 10–40 hours per week, including mornings, afternoons, evenings and overnights. No experience required, paid training provided and assistance with CA registry steps.

Responsibilities include following care plans, assisting with ADLs, meal prep, light housekeeping and offering companionship while maintaining client dignity and safety.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and able to communicate clearly with clients and staff.
• Current registration with California Home Care Aide Registry or willingness to obtain.
• Completion of background checks and compliance with CA regulations.
• Ability to read and follow written instructions and document care.
• Reliable transportation or valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) and personal care.
• Follow care plans created by the Care Designer and document observations.
• Assist with meal planning and light housekeeping tasks.
• Provide companionship and monitor client well‑being during shifts.
• Drive to appointments and maintain accurate time/activity records.
