Job summary

Nurse Next Door San Mateo is seeking compassionate caregivers to provide in-home care for seniors, helping with daily activities and companionship. The role supports clients in their own homes, with flexible morning, afternoon, evening, and overnight shifts.

No experience required; paid training and registration assistance are available. You must be at least 18, pass background checks, and maintain state registration as a Home Care Aide in California.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older and eligible for care aide roles.
• Current registration with California Home Care Aide Registry or able to obtain it.
• Pass a criminal background check and health screenings as required by CA regulations.
• Ability to read and follow written instructions and document care.
• Self-directed with minimal supervision and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Follow the client’s care plan and assist with daily tasks as outlined by the Care Designer.
• Help with activities of daily living, personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
• Assist with meal planning/preparation and medication reminders as applicable.
• Provide companionship and monitor changes in condition, reporting to supervisor.
• Drive to appointments or errands as needed and maintain accurate timesheets.
• Complete records of services performed and participate in required training.
