Job summary

Addus Homecare is seeking an on-call Home Care Aide (Core) to support seniors and people with disabilities in their homes in New Mexico. The role requires flexible scheduling, 40 hours per week with 20 hours guaranteed, and at least one weekend day.

Responsibilities include following care plans, assisting with personal care, housekeeping, transportation, and monitoring client well-being. On-call duties and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Must pass a criminal background check.
• Must have reliable transportation with a valid driver's license and proof of insurance if traveling by car.
• Willingness to work on-call for 24-hour shifts and 5 days per week, with at least one weekend day.

Responsibilities

• Call the office every morning for assignment.
• Follow care plans and report completed tasks.
• Assist with daily personal care (bathing, dressing, etc.).
• Perform routine house cleaning, meal prep, and laundry.
• Transport clients to appointments and errands.
• Assist with self-administration of medications.
• Observe and report changes in the client's condition.
