Job summary

Addus Homecare is hiring Home Care Aides - Core to support seniors and individuals with disabilities in their own homes. Position requires 40 hours per week with 5 days, at least one weekend day, on-call 24-hour shifts. Daily coordination with supervisor and adherence to care plans are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
• Must have reliable transportation; if by car, valid driver's license and proof of insurance required.
• Nurturing and compassionate nature with desire to care for others.

Responsibilities

• Call office each morning for assignment.
• Follow care plans and report completed tasks.
• Assist with personal care (bathing, dressing, etc.).
• Provide or assist in routine house cleaning, meals, and laundry.
• Transport client to appointments and errands.
• Assist with self-administration of medications.
• Observe and report changes in client condition.
