Job summary

Ochsner is seeking a security professional to safeguard patients, guests, and staff across hospital facilities. Responsibilities include enforcing safety rules, conducting inspections, investigating incidents, and supporting emergency drills.

Requires a High School diploma and 1 year of security/military experience. Certifications such as BLS, CPI, and IAHSS are expected or obtainable within set timeframes.

Qualifications

• Requires High School diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of security, law enforcement, or military experience.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association.
• Valid driver’s license with clean DMV report.
• CPI training and firearms training.
• IAHSS certification to be obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Employment contingent on successful completion of FTO program within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Enforces all safety and security rules, regulations, and policies on company property.
• Conducts routine inspections of on-site and off-site locations.
• Investigates accidents and incidents and reports findings promptly.
• Performs opening/lockdown of buildings as approved by Administration.
• Participates in emergency response and preparedness drills.
• Maintains annual certifications and completes required trainings.
• Interacts respectfully with patients, visitors, and staff; adheres to privacy standards.
