Job summary

Ochsner Health is seeking a Security professional to protect patients, guests and staff across our facilities. The role requires a high school diploma, 1 year of security-related experience, and active certifications such as BLS, CPI, and IA HSS within probation periods.

The position involves enforcing safety policies, conducting inspections, incident investigation, and supporting disaster readiness. Strong communication and physical endurance are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1 year of experience in Security, law enforcement, or military is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Valid driver's license in the state of practice and clean DMV report required.
• Crisis Prevention and Intervention (CPI) training and firearms training required.
• IAHSS Certification to be obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Employment is contingent upon successful completion of the FTO Program within the first 60 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Enforces all company safety and security rules, regulations, and policies on company property.
• Conducts routine inspections of on-site and off-site locations of the company.
• Investigates accidents and other incidents and reports all occurrences promptly.
• Performs opening/lockdown of buildings as approved by Administration and performs other safety and security duties.
• Participates in emergency response and related preparedness drills.
• Maintains required annual certifications and completes training within required time periods.
• Adapts communication to the patient population and respects privacy.
