Job summary

EPIC Healthcare is seeking an Admissions Coordinator to manage the admissions process for new residents and ensure a smooth transition into our facility. You will coordinate from referral to arrival and work closely with nursing, social services, and other departments.

The ideal candidate has healthcare admissions experience, excellent communication and organizational skills, and a customer-focused approach to support residents and their families throughout the admission journey.

Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare admissions preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of insurance verification and healthcare documentation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage the admissions process from referral through resident arrival.
• Review referral and admission documentation for completeness and accuracy.
• Communicate with hospitals, families, physicians, insurance providers, and referral sources.
• Verify insurance benefits and assist with authorization requirements.
• Coordinate with nursing, social services, and other departments to prepare for new admissions.
• Maintain accurate and timely admission records.
• Provide excellent customer service to residents and their families.
• Follow up with referral sources and assist with census development.
