Job summary

Nicklaus Children's Health System is seeking a Nursing- Support (Clinical) professional to welcome patients and families, perform clerical tasks, and assist with daily living activities under RN supervision. The role requires compassionate family-centered care and collaboration with the healthcare team.

The incumbent will manage vital signs and measurements, help with transport and room turnover, maintain accurate records in the EHR, and support equipment and supply needs while delivering

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant or EMT/Paramedic - active licensure in the State of Florida
• American Heart Association BLS - maintain active and in good standing
• 1-3 years of clerical or customer service experience
• High school education or equivalent preferred
• Strong problem solving, critical thinking and conflict resolution skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborates in a team environment
• Computer literate and knowledge of printers
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Fluent in Spanish preferred
• Ability to learn appropriate software applications

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, nutrition and comfort measures
• Record vital signs, heights, weights, and measurements in the EHR
• Inform RN of pertinent information and changes in condition
• Restock supplies and assist with room turnover
• Greet patients and provide administrative support to clinical teams
• Answer patient calls and resolve requests promptly
• Maintain clean, organized patient rooms and nursing station
• Support patient and family orientation to care area
