Job summary

Nicklaushealth is seeking a Nursing-Support (Clinical) professional to assist patients and families in a Same Day Surgery setting. You will perform clerical tasks, support patient care activities, and collaborate with the RN and healthcare team to maintain a safe, welcoming environment.

The role emphasizes compassionate, family-centered care, with responsibilities spanning vital signs, charting in the EHR, and helping with daily living activities under RN supervision.

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant or EMT/Paramedic with active Florida licensure
• American Heart Association BLS certification
• 1–3 years of clerical or customer service experience

Responsibilities

• Assists patients with activities of daily living including bathing, nutrition and comfort measures.
• Performs vital signs, heights, weights, and other measurements; records in the EHR.
• Greets and assists patients, families and visitors; provides administrative support to clinical teams.
• Transports patients for procedures and helps with room turnover.
• Maintains patient rooms and nursing station; ensures supplies and equipment are stocked.
