Job summary

Nicklaus Children's Hospital is seeking a Care Assistant/Unit Coordinator for the Nursing Unit. The role supports patients and families, assists with vital signs, daily living activities, and clerical tasks under the RN supervision.

It emphasizes safety, empathy, and collaboration with the healthcare team. The position is part-time with benefits, scheduled for days, and located at the Nicklaus Children’s Hospital – Main Campus in Florida.

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant or EMT/Paramedic with Florida license in good standing.
• American Heart Association BLS certification in good standing.
• 1–3 years of clerical or customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, nutrition, comfort and mobility.
• Record vital signs and other measurements in the EHR and communicate changes to the RN.
• Greet patients and families, provide administrative support, and coordinate unit operations.
