Job summary

Planned Parenthood South Atlantic is seeking a Health Care Assistant to be the friendly first impression at the health center, supporting front and back office tasks, assisting providers, performing blood draws, and educating patients in a non-judgmental manner. Applicants should have a minimum high school diploma or GED, CPR certification within 90 days, and strong customer service skills.

Qualifications

Minimum high school diploma or GED.
Ability to receive and maintain CPR certification within 90 days of hire.
Customer service experience, preferably in a medical field.
Understanding of PPSAT goals and mission.
Ability to prioritize, multitask, and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

Greet and assist patients at the front desk with a friendly, non-judgmental approach.
Assist providers with daily in-office procedures and blood draws.
Maintain accurate charting, logs, and documentation in the EHR.
Provide patient education on reproductive and sexual health issues.
Process insurance information and communicate coverage details to patients.
Support clinic operations and housekeeping to keep the center welcoming.
