Job summary

Planned Parenthood of the Pacific Southwest is seeking a frontline receptionist to support health center operations. You will check in patients, collect payments, verify insurance information and schedule appointments in a busy clinical setting.

You will enter patient data into the Electronic Practice Management System (EPM), coordinate referrals, and assist with billing tasks while upholding patient privacy and service standards in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Strong communication across diverse backgrounds, both verbal and written.
• Basic Windows computer skills; willing to learn more software.
• Ability to multitask in a busy environment with accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Check-in/check-out and collect payments; manage appointment scheduling.
• Enter patient information into EPM; obtain insurance details and authorization.
• Communicate services, and referrals; ensure accurate charges and daily reports.
• Assist with lab prep and basic tests as needed.
• Coordinate with center staff and billing to resolve discrepancies.
