Job summary

TEEMA is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to support geriatric residents in a care setting. You will assist with daily living activities, monitor health, take vital signs, and collaborate with nurses and families to ensure comfort and safety.

The role emphasizes independence, teamwork, and adherence to universal precautions, with opportunities for ongoing training and career growth in a respectful, patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• Current CNA license and BLS certification.
• Experience in geriatric or long-term care preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with ambulation, eating, bathing, dressing, and other ADLs.
• Operate and assist with medical equipment, including geri-chairs, wheelchairs, and oxygen regulators.
• Monitor residents' physical and mental status, take vital signs, and manage specimens.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff, documenting and responding to requests and concerns.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of resident areas, change bedding, and handle linens and medical supplies.
• Support nursing staff with medical procedures and post-surgical care while following universal precautions.
• Participate in training and multi-disciplinary meetings for patient care planning and skill development.
• Other duties as assigned.
