Job summary

TEEMA is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide essential support in geriatric resident care in Tucson, Arizona. The CNA assists with daily living activities, monitors health, and supports nursing staff in routine and emergent tasks.

Responsibilities include ambulation, feeding, bathing, dressing, operating medical equipment, taking vital signs, documenting requests, and maintaining resident comfort and safety.

Qualifications

• Current CNA license is required.
• BLS certification required.
• Newly licensed candidates are welcome.
• Experience in geriatric or long-term care settings preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with ambulation, eating, bathing, dressing, and other ADLs.
• Operate and assist with medical equipment such as gerichairs, wheelchairs, and oxygen regulators.
• Monitor residents' physical and mental status, take vital signs.
• Document and respond to requests and concerns from residents, families, and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of resident areas and handle linens and supplies.
• Support nursing staff with medical procedures and post-surgical care while following universal precautions.
• Participate in training and multidisciplinary meetings for patient care planning.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
