Job summary

Foundation Partners Group in Monterey, CA is seeking a Transfer Care Specialist who serves as the first point of contact for families during transfers of the decedent from facilities to the funeral home.

The role requires compassion, composure, and the ability to lift up to 100 lbs, a valid driver's license, and willingness to work irregular hours including nights and weekends; training and support are provided.

Qualifications

• Valid state-issued driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift 100 lbs safely.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Composure and compassion.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and apply feedback.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective internal and external work processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate guidance to Families regarding transfer of the decedent on arrival and departure.
• Safely transport and navigate local roads using GPS or directions apps.
• Willing to work irregular hours (on-call), including nights and weekends; may drive hearse as needed.
• Ensure paperwork is completed accurately and timely per applicable laws and regulations.
• Receive and execute multiple tasks in the best order and complete them promptly.
• Maintain a neat, presentable appearance and assist with other duties (e.g., washing vehicles).
