Service Corporation International is seeking a Funeral Services Assistant to provide clerical and administrative support for funeral operations in Bellflower, CA. The role involves greeting families, preparing service-related materials, and assisting with ceremonies under management direction.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous customer service and/or sales experience preferred.
• Proficient with MS Office suite and databases; ability and willingness to learn required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares for services by delivering and setting up floral arrangements, chairs, caskets, urns, photos and keepsakes.
• Prepares documents related to services, cremations and maintenance as directed.
• Assists with preparation of remains including dressing and lifting as permitted by law.
• Performs office duties: phones, fax, computer, multi-line phone system, debit card machine, typewriter, postage meter, scale, stereo/video system.
• Runs errands for supplies and deliveries.
• Acts as usher and may park cars or perform transportation duties.
• Drives funeral home vehicles for services and family pickups.
• Ensures refreshments where allowed by law.
• Assists with visitations, memorials and services, including setup and dressing of remains.
