Job summary

Service Corporation International in Florida is seeking a Funeral Services Assistant to provide clerical and frontline support for funeral operations, greeting families and handling information with sensitivity. You will prepare services, assist with remains, handle office duties, drive vehicles as needed, and support visitation and ceremonies.

A high school diploma and customer service experience are preferred, with a valid driver's license required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous customer service and/or sales experience preferred.
• Proficient with MS Office and databases; willingness to learn.
• Valid state driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Compassion and integrity in handling sensitive situations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for services by arranging floral items, chairs, caskets, and keepsakes.
• Assist with service documents, cremations, and maintenance as directed.
• Answer phones, operate office equipment, and run errands.
• Ushers at services and may park cars; transport families as needed.
• Assist visitation and funeral services with setup and dressing remains.
• Greet clients and provide information; ensure refreshments where allowed.
• Wash and clean funeral home vehicles when required.
