The role requires at least a high school diploma, a minimum of 3 years in funeral services, and a valid driver’s license. Expect varied duties, including office tasks and field support.

Formación

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 3 years related experience as a Funeral Assistant.
• Current state driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Basic knowledge of religious and fraternal organizations customs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multi-task and set priorities with attention to detail.

Responsabilidades

• Arrange and direct bereavement rites including funerals and memorial ceremonies.
• Confirm authorization to proceed with service arrangements.
• Inform families of veteran honors and related services.
• Assist during services: parking, ushering, driving vehicles, setting up and breaking down venues.
• Provide aftercare: documents, information on benefits, and pre-arrangements for next of kin.
• Share potential pre-need referrals with Family Service Counselors.
• Ensure compliance with licensing, rules, and regulations.
• Prepare documents and online entries for services and cremations.
• Perform general office duties and report preparation.
• Assist with vehicle and facility maintenance.
• Receive inventory and manage casket/supplies.
