Job summary

Sci Corp in North Hollywood, CA is seeking a Funeral Services Assistant to provide clerical and front-desk support for funeral operations, greet clients, answer questions, and assist on services as directed.

Responsibilities include preparing for services (flowers, chairs, caskets, keepsakes), handling documents, assisting with remains, driving duties when required, and coordinating with staff to ensure a respectful experience for families.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous customer service and/or sales experience preferred.
• Proficient with MS Office suite and databases preferred; ability and willingness to learn required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for services by delivering and setting up floral arrangements, chairs, caskets, urns, photos and keepsakes.
• Prepare documents related to services, cremations, maintenance as directed by management.
• Assist with remains preparation, dressing and casketing as permitted by law and regulations.
• Answer phones, operate office equipment and manage the front desk and scheduling.
• Run errands for supplies and transportation as needed.
• Serve as usher and assist with transportation for families.
