Job summary

Sci Corp is seeking a Funeral Services Assistant in Orlando to support funeral operations and assist families with information, arrangements and ceremonies. You will greet clients, handle office tasks, and help with services while upholding the company’s mission and policies.

Responsibilities include preparing for services, assisting with remains, driving funeral home vehicles, and coordinating with management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Customer service and/or sales experience preferred.
• Proficiency with MS Office and databases expected; learnable.
• Valid state driver’s license with acceptable driving record required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares for services including setting up floral arrangements and personal keepsakes.
• Prepares documents related to services and maintenance.
• Assists with preparation of remains and possible crematory operations as allowed by law.
• Handles office duties: phones, fax, computer, multi-line system, debit card machine.
• Runs errands for floral delivery and supplies.
• Serves as an usher, may park cars, and handle transportation.
• Drives funeral home vehicles for services and family pickups.
• Ensures refreshments are available where allowed.
• Greet families and provide information at the office.
• Assist visitations, memorials and funerals with set up and delivery of items.
• May wash and clean funeral home vehicles.
• Attend monthly staff meetings.
