You will handle phones, scheduling, and light transportation duties, including setting up for services, assisting with remains preparation under supervision, and ensuring a compassionate, professional experience for client families.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous customer service and/or sales experience preferred.
• Proficient with MS Office suite and databases; ability and willingness to learn.
• Valid state driver’s license with an acceptable driving record required.
• High level of compassion and integrity; clear and concise verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Prepares for services: floral arrangements, chairs, caskets, urns, photos, mementos.
• Prepares documents related to services and maintenance.
• Assists with preparation of remains per law and policy.
• Answer phones, operate office equipment and systems.
• Run errands for floral deliveries and supplies.
• Serve as usher; may park cars or handle transportation needs.
• Drive funeral home vehicles for services and family transport.
• Ensure refreshments are available where allowed by law.
• Assist with visitations, memorials and funerals; set up chapel and dress remains.
• Greet families and provide information at the office.
