Job summary

Service Corporation International is seeking a dedicated Support Specialist to provide exemplary customer service to families following a loss. You will work closely with funeral directors and location managers to initiate and complete arrangements, often handling first contact, scheduling, and documentation with sensitivity and urgency.

The role requires strong communication, empathy, and computer skills, with opportunities to assist during services and transport remains as needed.

Qualifications

• 2 years of customer service or office experience.
• Experience in a fast-paced professional environment is required.
• Funeral industry experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Meet with Funeral Director(s) to ensure customer needs are met.
• Coordinate with families and arrange services, including scheduling and documentation.
• Take first calls, dispatch removal teams, and collect vital information for death certificates and claims.
• Design and print memorials and arrange documents; order merchandise and flowers.
• Assist with setting up services and attending funeral events as needed.
• Transport remains to crematory and assist with removals when required.
