Job summary

Service Corporation International in Colton, CA is seeking a Funeral Attendant to support services before, during, and after ceremonies. You will help prepare rooms, assist with caskets and the deceased, greet families, and coordinate transportation to and from the site while maintaining decorum and compassion.

Eligible candidates typically have a high school diploma and a valid driver’s license. No prior experience is required, though experience in the funeral industry is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid state issued driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• No prior work experience required; funeral industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare casket and deceased for visitation or funeral services.
• Prepare rooms for services, including chairs, tables, guest books, and flowers.
• Greet visitors and provide programs, information about funeral services.
• May serve as pallbearer
• May drive families to cemetery site
• Post-service duties: packaging, loading, or delivery of mementos and flowers.
