Job summary

Service Corporation International in California is seeking a Funeral Attendant to support funeral services and office tasks. Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid state driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• No prior work experience required; funeral industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare casket and deceased for visitation or funeral services.
• Assist with lifting deceased when needed.
• Prepare rooms for services and arrange chairs, guest books, flowers, keepsakes and caskets.
• Greet visitors, provide programs, answer questions, and share funeral services information.
• Possibly serve as pallbearer or transport family to cemetery site.
• Post-service tasks include removal, cleaning, and storage of company property and delivery of mementos.
