Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepares for services: floral arrangements, chairs, caskets, urns, photos and keepsakes; ensures proper care and storage.
• Prepares documents related to services, cremations, maintenance as directed by management.
• Assists with preparation of remains and handling of cremation equipment as permitted by law.
• Performs office duties: phones, fax, computer, multi-line phone, debit card, typewriter, postage, scale, audio/visual systems.
• Run errands for supplies and deliveries.
• Acts as usher, may park cars or handle transportation needs.
• Drives funeral home vehicles for services and family pickups.
• Ensures refreshments are available where allowed.
• Assists with visitations and services: setup, dressing remains, delivering items.
• Greets clients entering the office; supports family needs during services or visitations.
• May wash/clean funeral home vehicles.
