Job summary

sci seeks a Funeral Services Assistant to support funeral operations, greet families, answer questions about funeral and cremation topics, and assist on services. This role involves clerical tasks, coordination of transportation, and providing general support to funeral home clients and management.

Responsibilities include preparing for services, assisting with remains, driving duties, and ensuring refreshments and setup are handled professionally and respectfully.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous customer service and/or sales experience preferred.
• Proficient with MS Office suite and databases preferred; ability and willingness to learn required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares for services, including arranging floral items, chairs, caskets, photos and keepsakes for client families.
• Prepares documents related to services, cremations and maintenance as directed by management.
• Assists with the preparation of remains, including dressing and lifting, as permitted by law.
• Performs office duties such as answering phones, operating devices, and basic clerical tasks.
• Runs errands for floral deliveries and supplies; assists with visitation and funeral service setup.
• Greets client families, assists during services, and supports transportation needs as required.
