Job summary

Forest Lawn’s Funeral Service Department seeks a dedicated team member to support families during services. You will represent Forest Lawn with professionalism, assist in logistics, transportation, and setup for funerals, and help ensure dignified ceremonies across faiths and cultures.

Requirements include a high school diploma, excellent public speaking, ability to lift 75 lbs, and willingness to work weekends and holidays on-site.

Qualifications

• Comfortable standing for long periods.
• Must be available for varying work shifts.
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
• High school diploma/GED.
• Must be able to work on-site.

Responsibilities

• Represent Forest Lawn in a courteous and professional manner.
• Uphold and exceed client families’ expectations for funeral services.
• Provide parking assistance and directions for guests and families.
• Accept, transport, and set up flower arrangements at services and gravesites.
• Distribute memory folders, prayer cards, tissues, water, etc.
• Provide clean up and housekeeping duties before and after services.
• Assist in conducting services with understanding of funeral practices and Forest Lawn procedures.
• Use Service Sheet, Director’s Papers, and other resources.
