Heritage Family is seeking a Part-Time Funeral Assistant to support funeral and memorial services with care and professionalism. You will work with the Funeral Director to prepare service areas, assist families, and handle transportation and logistics.

The role emphasizes empathy, strong communication, and the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Background check and valid driver’s license required, with up to 75 lb lifting capacity.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Prepare chapels and viewing areas, arrange flowers, lighting, seating.
• Assist with dignified placement and movement of caskets and the deceased.
• Greet and guide guests at visitations and services.
• Transport deceased and drive funeral vehicles with care.
• Maintain cleanliness of public spaces, chapels, and vehicles.
