Job summary

SCI is seeking a Sales Professional in Thornton, CO to serve families with compassionate cemetery arrangements and pre-need planning. You will lead generation activities, build strong relationships with families, and collaborate with funeral directors and staff to ensure top-tier service.

The role requires evening/weekend availability, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to obtain an insurance license where required. Compensation ranges with strong earning potential based on performance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of college or an equivalent of education and experience.
• 1-2 years of customer service or sales industry experience preferred.
• Current state/province issued driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Insurance license if required by state/province law and as prescribed by each state board.
• Must pass the Company's internal presentation certification within thirty days of hire.
• Ability to work evenings and/or weekends.
• Ability to drive frequently.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an insurance license if required by state/province.
• Flexible hours with potential 12-hour shifts.
• Empathy and respectful treatment of others.
• Knowledge of computers and some software.
• Customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Prospect for new leads 1–2 hours daily.
• Obtain referrals from families served.
• Network and build community relationships.
• Explain and present to families served and referred.
• Maintain activity levels to ensure productivity.
• Respond to client inquiries in a timely, respectful, sensitive and professional manner.
• Build trust-based relationships to earn referrals and protect families through pre-planning.
• Collaborate with funeral directors, location managers, and staff to provide seamless service.
• Review past services to support current needs and sales.
