Everstory Partners in Cary, IL is seeking a Sales Counselor to guide individuals and families through funeral and cemetery decisions with compassionate, consultative selling. You will build a strong client base, manage leads, and close sales while earning commissions based on performance.

The role combines B2C sales, business development, and community outreach, with uncapped commissions or a guaranteed minimum hourly rate. Training is paid during the first six weeks.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Bilingual or multilingual proficiency is a plus, particularly in Spanish, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese), Tagalog/Filipino, Vietnamese, or Arabic.
• One year of experience in sales or related relationship-based roles preferred.
• Experience using CRM software such as HubSpot, Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar.
• Comfortable in commission-based, performance-driven sales environments.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and consultative selling skills.

Responsibilities

• Meet with individuals and families to understand their needs and recommend appropriate funeral and cemetery products and services.
• Sell pre-need and at-need funeral services, cemetery property, memorialization products, and related merchandise.
• Build and maintain a pipeline of prospective customers through lead generation, outbound prospecting, referrals, networking, and community outreach.
• Respond to inbound leads, customer inquiries, and walk-in opportunities.
• Conduct follow-up with prospective customers throughout the sales process.
• Develop long-term relationships with customers, families, and community members.
• Explain products, pricing, and options clearly and compassionately.
• Guide customers through purchasing decisions and complete required sales contracts and documentation.
• Use HubSpot to manage leads, customer relationships, appointments, follow-up activity, and sales opportunities.
