Job summary

Park Lawn Corporation is seeking an experienced Funeral Director in Colorado to lead funeral and memorialization services. You will consult with families, coordinate with clergy, and oversee staff to ensure respectful, personalized services.

The role requires a four-year degree, licensure, and strong administration skills. Expect some travel, attention to detail, and a compassionate approach to families in need.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Minimum two years of experience as a licensed Funeral Director.
• Valid state Funeral Director license; reciprocal across states and in good standing.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Consult with client families or legal representatives to design services that meet memorialization expectations.
• Present merchandising and service options to client families.
• Obtain information needed to complete required documents (obituaries, death certificates, burial permits, insurance).
• Coordinate all service arrangements with clergy and other participants.
• Plan, schedule and conduct visitations and services.
• Oversee staff during services and ensure professional representation of the location.
• Prepare the deceased (dress and casketing).
• Direct and usher families to and from the funeral service.
• Supervise transportation of client families for timely departure/arrival.
• Arrange shipment of remains to/from other locations.
• Instruct and oversee Apprentice Funeral Directors on services and paperwork.
