Qualifications

• Must hold state Funeral Director license or be eligible for reciprocity.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mortuary Science from an accredited institution.
• Strong communication skills and ethical judgment.

Responsibilities

• Meet with families to plan and arrange funeral, cremation, and memorial services, and guide options and merchandise.
• Coordinate all aspects of ceremonies including transportation, clergy, cemetery arrangements, and logistics.
• Clearly disclose costs and understand GPL and payment policies.
• Process necessary documentation like death certificates and permits, ensuring compliance.
• Maintain records and manage accounts receivable within company policy.
• Oversee operations of the funeral home, facilities, and equipment.
• Provide follow-up care and support to families and community outreach.
