Job summary

RI International in Durham, NC is seeking a Food Service Associate to prepare and serve meals under the supervision of the Food Service Manager. This full-time, non-exempt role supports our Crisis Care Center by upholding food safety standards and delivering compassionate guest care.

Candidates should have a High School Diploma or equivalent and a valid Food Handler’s Certification, plus at least six months of food service experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Active and valid Food Handler’s Certification required.
• Minimum of six (6) months of food service experience
• Familiarity with Food Safety Regulations
• Strong Organization Skills
• Basic computer skills
• Must be able to pass de-escalation training, as defined by state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Guest Care & Advocacy: Prepares and serves food in accordance with food safety requirements and departmental procedures.
• Compliance & Risk Management: Maintains the cleanliness of the kitchen by using proper food handling techniques.
• Monitors refrigerator temperature and documents on daily temperature log.
• Keeps abreast of all federal and state regulations and laws and all Recovery Innovations policies as they presently exist and as they change or are modified.
• Understands and adheres to Recovery Innovations compliance standards as they appear in the Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policies.
• Additional Duties: Performs other related duties as assigned.
