Job summary

Oakmont of Simi Valley is part of Oakmont Management Group, a premier elder care organization in California. We seek a compassionate Care Provider to support residents with daily living activities and personal care, enhancing independence and quality of life.

Responsibilities include assisting with ADLs, responding to resident needs, and maintaining safety and confidentiality. We train and support staff to uphold our values and mission.

Qualifications

• Experience preferred but we will train the right candidate.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Strong desire to work with the elderly and care for their needs.
• Possess written and verbal skills to interact and communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, physicians, healthcare professionals, residents, and their families.
• Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including physical and TB Tests.
• For the health and safety of our team members and residents, vaccination and other safety measures may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents in Activities of Daily Living (ADL) per care plan (eating, bathing, dressing, toileting, transferring, continence).
• Respond to residents' needs promptly while maintaining dignity and confidentiality.
• Report any change in residents' condition to a supervisor immediately.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment following safety standards.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments.
