Job summary

Choice in Aging (CiA) seeks a Care Professional - Casual to lead and assist with program activities and provide health and social services to frail elders and adults with disabilities. You will document daily interactions and support participants' physical wellbeing in a respectful, dignified manner.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma, TB test, LiveScan background check, and clear English communication. You will work as part of a team to ensure safety and compassionate care.

Qualifications

Must communicate clearly in English, both verbally and in writing.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Must be able to follow directions and document accurately.

Responsibilities

Lead and assist with program activities, encouraging client participation with respect.
Provide care respecting each individual's uniqueness and dignity.
Document daily interactions and physical wellbeing for participants.
Maintain a clean program area and assist with food prep and service as needed.
Offer safety supervision, emotional support, and behavior management when needed.
Preserve client confidentiality in all aspects of care.
Assist with activities of daily living including toileting, hygiene, and transfers.
Build one-on-one relationships based on trust and respect.
