Job summary

At Peace Healthcare Agency is seeking experienced Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide compassionate, person-centered support in homes and communities for individuals with IDD. This role emphasizes independence, relationship-building, and goal-oriented care.

You will follow ISPs and BSPs, support daily living, mobility, and community activities, and ensure a safe, respectful, and privacy-conscious environment.

Qualifications

• Previous DSP or direct-care experience required
• Ability to pass required background checks and screenings
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Ability to work independently and responsibly
• Ability to assist with mobility and personal care as needed

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on support with daily living activities, personal care, mobility, and companionship
• Encourage independence, self-advocacy, and personal growth
• Support individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other intellectual and developmental disabilities
• Follow Individualized Service Plans (ISPs) and Behavioral Support Plans (BSPs)
• Encourage socialization, community participation, and meaningful activities
• Accompany individuals to medical appointments, therapy sessions, work, and community activities
• Promote a safe, respectful, and person-centered environment
• Complete accurate daily documentation, progress notes, and goal tracking
• Protect individual privacy and maintain HIPAA confidentiality
• Provide reliable transportation when required
