Job summary

At Peace Healthcare Agency is seeking experienced Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide compassionate, person-centered support to individuals with IDD in their homes and communities.

You will build meaningful relationships, encourage independence, and help individuals reach their personal goals while following ISPs and BSPs. Join a team that values dedication, teamwork, and growth in the IDD field.

Qualifications

• Previous DSP experience required
• Compassionate and dependable
• Ability to work independently and responsibly
• Strong communication with individuals, families, and team members
• Experience supporting individuals with IDD in home and community settings

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on support with daily living activities, personal care, mobility, and companionship
• Encourage independence, self-advocacy, and personal growth
• Support individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other IDD
• Follow Individualized Service Plans (ISPs) and Behavioral Support Plans (BSPs)
• Encourage socialization, community participation, and meaningful activities
• Accompany individuals to medical appointments, therapy sessions, work, and community activities
• Promote a safe, respectful, and person-centered environment
• Complete accurate daily documentation, progress notes, and goal tracking
• Protect individual privacy and maintain HIPAA confidentiality
• Provide reliable transportation when required
