Job summary

Alay Home Care, based in New Jersey, is seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to help individuals with developmental disabilities achieve independence and improve their quality of life. In this role you will provide hands-on assistance with daily living activities, support community participation, document progress, and follow individualized care plans.

Medication administration is possible if certified, and a safe, respectful environment is maintained.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in caregiving or healthcare preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation if required.
• Pass background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with daily living activities (ADLs) such as bathing and grooming.
• Support clients in community integration and social activities.
• Administer medication if certified.
• Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes.
• Implement individualized care plans and ensure safety.
• Foster a respectful and supportive environment.
