Job summary

Alay Home Care is seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to support individuals with developmental disabilities in New Jersey, helping them achieve independence and improve their quality of life. You will provide hands-on assistance, emotional support, and community engagement.

The role includes assisting with ADLs, supporting community participation, documenting progress, and following individualized care plans while maintaining a safe, respectful environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous caregiving or DSP experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation if required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with daily living activities (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Support clients in community integration and social activities.
• Administer medication (if certified).
• Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes.
• Implement individualized care plans.
• Ensure a safe and supportive environment.
