Job summary

Abound Health is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) in Apex, NC to provide caregiving and daily living support for individuals with IDD. As a DSP, you will assist with ADLs, community participation, and behavioral support to help clients live independently and safely.

We offer flexible schedules, paid training, weekly pay, a $1,000 signing bonus, and paths for advancement. No prior experience in IDD required—paid training is provided, and we value compassion, reliability, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Valid driver's license, current auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass criminal record, driving record, and healthcare registry checks.
• Willingness to address personal care needs when necessary.
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities is not required; paid training provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on Direct Support to individuals to build independence and confidence.
• Assist with activities of daily living such as meals, hygiene, and household tasks.
• Support community participation, employment, and social activities.
• Use adaptive tools to aid learning and communication.
• Encourage independence and help develop new skills.
• Monitor health and safety while maintaining a supportive environment.
• Communicate with Abound Health team members, families, and external parties as needed.
• Complete documentation and maintain schedules.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
