Job summary

Abound Health is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) in Waxhaw, NC to provide caregiving and daily living support for individuals with IDD. DSPs assist with ADLs, community participation, and behavioral support, helping clients live independently and with dignity.

We offer paid training, weekly pay, a $1,000 signing bonus, and opportunities for growth within a team-focused environment. Starting pay ranges from $15.40 to $17 per hour, with benefits based on hours worked.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Valid driver’s license, current auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass criminal background check, driving record, and healthcare registry checks.
• Willingness to address personal care needs when necessary.
• Lifting may be required.

Responsibilities

• Build positive relationships and support individuals in achieving personal goals.
• Assist with daily living activities such as meal preparation, hygiene, and household tasks.
• Support individuals in community participation, employment, and social activities.
• Use adaptive tools to aid learning and communication.
• Encourage independence and help individuals develop new skills.
• Monitor health and safety while maintaining a supportive environment.
• Communicate with Abound team members, families, and external parties as needed.
• Complete documentation and maintain schedules.
• Complete ongoing training and professional development.
